Tell us who you are and, in general terms, what the matter concerns. We will tell you whether we can act for you, and what acting would involve, before you are committed to anything.

We ask so that we address you correctly. Choose “Prefer not to disclose” and we will use your salutation alone.

Several things we are asked about turn on this, including who may own land or a business in the Philippines, immigration status, and recognizing a foreign divorce.

Please keep this general. Do not include confidential details or attach documents at this stage.

We read every inquiry ourselves.

A partner reads what you send. If we can act for you, we come back to arrange a consultation, and we agree the scope and the fee in writing before any work starts. If we cannot act, or a conflict prevents us, we tell you promptly.

We check for conflicts before we act.

We check whether acting for you would conflict with a client we already have. Until that check is complete and an engagement is agreed in writing, no lawyer-client relationship exists between us, and nothing you receive from us is legal advice.

So please do not send documents or confidential details yet. Papers reaching us before the check is finished can prevent us from acting for you at all.
